WACO, Texas – Alicia Noah of Houston Baptist University (Texas) earned recognition as the Red River Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for the dates of Sept. 4-10, while Pedro Zamarippa of HBU was selected for the RRAC men’s soccer award. 

Noah, a freshman forward from Texas City, Texas, powered the HBU women’s team to a 10-0 victory over Howard Payne University (Texas) with three goals and three assists. She also added a goal that served as the difference in a 2-1 win over McMurry University (Texas). Noah is tied for the team lead in goals and leads the Huskies in shots and points. The HBU women’s team moved to a 3-1 record.

Zamarippa, a sophomore midfielder from Houston, played a part in all four of HBU’s goals last week as the Huskies men’s team won both of its matches. He scored a goal and added an assist in a pair of 2-1 wins over HPU and McMurry for a total of six points. His goal in the 88^th minute against HPU turned out to be the game-winner. The Huskies are now 3-1 on the season.
