Long, a sophomore shortstop from Pryor, Okla., lifted the Lady Warriors to a 6-0 week with a .500 batting average and eight RBIs. She went 3-for-4 with three doubles and three RBIs in a 20-0 victory over Texas College, and she was 2-for-4 with a double, home run and three RBIs in a 5-3 win over Haskell Indian Nations University (Kan.). For the week, Long hit in each game while going 11-for-22 with eight runs scored, five doubles and a pair of homers. Bacone extended its winning streak to nine and elevated its conference mark to 9-3 with an overall record of 17-19. Chriestenson, a freshman pitcher from Mounds, Okla., earned wins in three of Bacone’s games and picked up a save in another. Along the way, she registered a two-hit shutout against Texas College and allowed just three earned runs in 23 innings of work overall (0.91 ERA) with 22 strikeouts. Chriestenson closed the week by working both ends of a double-header against Texas Wesleyan University. She allowed one earned run in a 5-4 opening victory before closing the second game with one unearned run in three innings for the save. TWU’s Ariel Raley was an additional player of the week nominee.
