RRAC Volleyball Player, Setter and Libero of the Week

WACO, Texas –
Kelani Keoho of Southwestern Assemblies of God University (Texas) was the recipient of the Red River Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week award for Sept. 24-30, while her teammate, Rachel Brown, wrapped up the weekly setter award and Ashley Mock of Texas Wesleyan University captured her fourth RRAC Libero of the Week honor of the season.

Keoho, a sophomore outside hitter from El Paso, Texas, spurred SAGU to a 3-1 week and established a new school record for kills in a match with 34 against Evangel University (Mo.). She compiled 80 kills on the week in 210 total attacks with only 10 errors (.333 hitting percentage) and added 53 digs and nine service aces. Keoho averaged 5.0 kills and 3.3 digs per game for the week. SAGU moved to 15-6 on the season and holds a 1-2 conference record.

Brown, a sophomore setter from New Braunfels, Texas, teamed up with Keoho en route to 174 assists last week. She tied her own school mark with 52 assists in a record-setting win against Evangel then broke her own record with 57 on Saturday against MidAmerica Nazarene University (Kan.). For the week, she averaged 10.9 assists per game while collecting 68 digs and nine service aces.

Mock, a senior libero from Azle, Texas, claimed her third consecutive weekly award by helping the Lady Rams win three conference matches on the same day in three different locations. On that day, she averaged 3.0 digs per game while avoiding any passing errors. She had 14 digs against Wiley College (Texas) and 11 against Texas College as TWU moved to 5-0 in conference play and 16-8 on the season.

Additional player nominees included TWU’s Liz Meng and Talita Milasauskas of University of Texas-Brownsville. UTB’s Daianarah Bracero and TWU’s Evoni Darling were nominated for Setter of the Week.
