Milasauskas, a
freshman middle blocker from Sao Paulo, Brazil, compiled 81 kills in a
4-0 week for the Scorpions. She pounded 26 kills in a 3-1 win over
Eastern New Mexico University and added 21 in a 3-1 victory over Lubbock
Christian University (Texas), the second-ranked team in the NAIA’s
Region VI. Milasauskas averaged 5.8 kills per game with a hitting
percentage of .435 for the week. She also contributed 45 digs and seven
service aces as UTB maintained its top position in Region VI with a
record of 20-5 on the season and a conference mark of 4-0. Milasauskas
earned her third player of the week award this season. Additional player nominees included Liz Meng (TWU) and Mallory Scott (Southwestern Assemblies of God University). Nominees for setter included Rachel Brown (TWU) and Evoni Darling (SAGU). Viviana Lozano was nominated for the conference’s libero award. -RRAC- |
