WACO, Texas -- The University of the Southwest (N.M.) was selected as the overall winner of the 2009-10 Red River Athletic Conference Sportsmanship Award as the program with the coaches, players and administration that exhibited the best demeanor and conduct during the most recent academic year.
Special recognition was given to Southwestern Assemblies of God University (Texas) for its men's and women's programs . Awards were determined in voting by all RRAC athletic directors.
The RRAC Sportsmanship Award is given annually to the RRAC member institution that displayed the highest level of sportsmanship including teamwork, fair play, respect for the game and conduct in competition. The school's sportsmanship must be apparent across multiple sports, on and off the field and in interaction with fellow member schools.
