WACO, Texas – Nathaniel Aguilar of Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) raced to the RRAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week award for Sept. 18-24, while OLLU's Jazmine Garcia won her second straight RRAC Women's Runner of the Week honor for the same dates. This is the third set of conference awards for the 2017 cross country season.

Aguilar finished third in the men's 8K race at the inaugural Saints Invitational in San Antonio, Texas. The junior from El Paso, Texas, placed ahead of 65 runners with a time of 27:15. Aguilar lifted the team to a second place finish, two points away from the leader. 

Garcia was the Saints' top finisher in third place in the women's 6K at the event hosted by OLLU. The senior from San Ygnacio, Texas, guided the Saints to the women's team title with a time of 23:58 against a field of 52 runners. Garcia is the two-time defending RRAC women's champion.
