WACO, Texas -- Natalie Carter of Northwood University (Texas) and Ashley Pope of Louisiana State University-Shreveport were named Red River Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Co-Offensive Players of the Week for Oct. 11-17, while Northwood's Lyndzey Goff received the conference's Defensive Player of the Week honor for the same dates.

Carter, a sophomore forward from Lancaster, Calif., scored four goals and assisted on three others in a 2-0 week for the Lady Knights. She booted in two goals in a 3-0 win over Texas Wesleyan University before adding a pair of goals and all three of her assists to deflate the University of the Southwest (N.M.), 7-0. Carter now has 13 goals in 12 games for Northwood, which is at the top of the conference at 5-0 and 9-3-1 on the season.

Pope, a senior midfielder from Belleville, Ont., racked up five goals and an assist as the Pilots split a pair of matches this week. She achieved a hat trick in a 10-3 defeat of USW and notched both of LSUS' goals in a 5-2 loss TWU. The Pilots moved to 3-2 in the RRAC and 7-5 overall.

Goff, a freshman goalkeeper from Glenpool, Okla., was credited with shutouts in both of Northwood's victories this week. She snared four saves to blank TWU and collected seven against USW while playing in goal throughout both games.

Hannah Collazo of Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas), Karissa Olson of TWU,  and Verena Wonsikowski of UTB were nominated for offensive player of the week, while Aliesha Cassie of UTB, Sarah Guillory of LSUS, Samantha Miller of OLLU, and Tori Reyes of HT were defensive nominees.
