WACO, Texas -- Linette Cuvillier of the University of Texas-Brownsville picked up the Red River Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award for Oct. 12-18, while her teammate Sara DiBenedetto was the recipient of the conference's Defensive Player of the Week for the same dates.

Cuvillier, a junior forward from Brownsville, Texas, accounted for four goals and an assist as the Scorpions won a pair of conference matches. She recorded a goal and an assist in a 9-1 win over Texas College then posted her first hat trick with three of UTB's six goals in a shutout victory over Bacone College (Okla.). The Scorpions improved to 4-0-1 in the RRAC and 7-3-2 overall.

DiBenedetto, a sophomore defender from Maple, Ont., was pivotal to UTB's stifling defense that allowed only one goal in the matches against TC and BC. She helped the Scorpions limit both opponents to only one shot on goal.
