WACO, Texas -- Octavia Mullins of Texas Wesleyan University earned the final Red River Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor for 2011 for her performance over the dates of Dec. 26-Jan. 1.

Mullins, a senior forward from Hoover, Ala., posted a double-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds and four assists to pace a 71-56 win over Hardin-Simmons University (Texas). She also chipped in nine points and four boards in a 69-57 loss to Prairie View A&M University (Texas). For the week, Mullins made 6-of-12 shots from the field and 10-of-14 from the free throw line. TWU holds a 3-1 mark in conference play and an 8-2 record on the season.

Sharde Henry of LSU Shreveport was also nominated for this week's award.
