WACO, Texas -- Aliesha Carruthers of Wiley College (Texas) and Olivia Mullins of Texas Wesleyan University earned selection as the Red River Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Co-Players of the Week for the dates of Jan. 16-22.
   
Carruthers, a junior guard from Houston, contributed in all phases of the Lady Wildcats' only game of the week, a conference victory over Texas College. She posted 18 points, six rebounds, five assists and six steals. Carruthers made 5-of-10 shots from the field including three three-pointers. Wiley climbed to 6-4 in the RRAC and 10-6 overall with the 91-75 victory.
 
Mullins, a senior forward from Hoover, Ala., turned in a pair of double-doubles in a 2-0 week for the Lady Rams, giving her four consecutive double-doubles and 10 on the season. She scored 10 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in just 28 minutes during a 101-70 defeat of the University of the Southwest (N.M.). She then led the Rams to a 59-54 win at Langston University (Okla.), handing the Lions their first loss of the season. In that game, Mullins was good for 15 points and 13 boards.TWU advanced to 9-2 in conference play and 14-3 on the season.
