WACO, Texas -- Aaron Guerrero of the University of Texas-Brownsville earned Red River Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week recognition for the dates of October 19-25, while David Etale of Northwood University (Texas) was selected as the RRAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the same dates.
 
Guerrero, a freshman forward from Tampico, Mexico, piled up two goals and two assists as the Scorpions won a pair of RRAC matches last week. He provided the difference in a showdown between unbeatens with a goal and an assist en route to a 3-0 win over Huston-Tillotson University (Texas). Guerrero added another goal and an assist  in a 5-2 win over Southwestern Assemblies of God University (Texas) to extend UTB's conference mark to 7-0. The Scorpions are 13-0-1 overall.

Etale, a junior goalkeeper from Nairobi, Kenya, racked up two shutouts this week to run his streak to three games. He had five saves to blank Bacone College (Okla.), 2-0, then held on for a 1-0 win over Texas College. The Knights advanced to 5-1 in the RRAC and 8-5-1 on the season.
