WACO, Texas -- Sara DiBenedetto and Jodie Hunter teamed up to win the Red River Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, for Nov. 2-8 as they propelled the University of Texas-Brownsville to the 2009 RRAC Championship.

DiBenedetto, a sophomore defender from Maple, Ont., netted goals in both of UTB's RRAC tournament victories. She booted in a goal in a 3-2 semifinal win over Texas Wesleyan University then scored the game-winner on a header as the Scorpions took home the title in a 1-0 victory against Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas).

Hunter, a freshman defender from Batley, England, patrolled the defensive middle for UTB and shut down OLLU, limiting the Saints to three shots on goal.

UTB captured the conference title for the second time in three seasons as an RRAC member.
