WACO, Texas -- Amber Arceneaux-Francis of the University of St. Thomas (Texas) was honored as the Red River Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the dates of Feb. 11-17. This is the 16th weekly award of the 2012-13 season.
Arceneaux-Francis, a senior forward from Houston, posted 31 points and 15 rebounds in an 80-72 victory over Bacone College (Okla.) on Thursday. She was 10-of-16 shooting from the field and blocked four shots. UST is now 11-8 in conference play and 15-12 on the season.
Mercedes Dobson of Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas), Sharde Henry of LSU Shreveport, Chinwendu Mbah of Wiley College (Texas), Kayla McCray of Texas Wesleyan University, and Ivory Russell of Jarvis Christian College (Texas) were additional nominees.
