WACO, Texas -- Jacobie Bias of Texas College and Brian Wanamaker of Texas Wesleyan University earned a share of the Red River Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week award for games played over the dates of Nov. 9-15.

Bias, a junior guard/forward from Beaumont, Texas, averaged 20.0 points per game as the Steers split a pair of contests in Louisiana. He poured in 17 points and grabbed three rebounds on Friday including the game-winning basket with 32 seconds to play in a 67-65 win over Xavier University (Louisiana). On Saturday, he led the team with 23 points as TC fell to Southern University-New Orleans (La.), 78-74. Bias was 14-of-33 from field goal range and 12-of-14 from the free throw line in the two-game set. The Steers are now 3-1 on the season.

Wanamaker, a junior guard from Philadelphia, Pa., averaged a double-double over a 2-1 week with 12.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game for the ninth-ranked Rams. After a loss to Oklahoma Christian University, he scored 14 points, grabbed nine boards and dished out seven assists in a 119-60 win over Southwestern Adventist University (Texas). Wanamaker followed up with 13 points, 10 boards and six assists en route to a 70-68 victory over Sterling College (Kan.). He made 12-of-19 field goal attempts (63.2%) as TWU moved to 2-3 overall.

Alvin Lewis of Langston University (Okla.) was also nominated for this week's award.
