Thomas, a junior guard from Oil City, La., sparked the Lady Steers to their first victory of the season with 22 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists and six steals in a 91-45 victory over Dallas Christian College (Texas). The 2008-09 RRAC All-Conference selection helped TC even its record at 1-1.

Also nominated this week were Tiffany Adair of Texas Wesleyan University and Shonderlette Paul of Paul Quinn College (Texas).
