WACO, Texas -- Nicole Linen of Southwestern Assemblies of God University (Texas) collected the Red River Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week award for Jan. 18-24.

Linen, a senior forward from El Paso, Texas, averaged a double-double in a 2-0 week for the Lady Rams. She managed to score 15 points and grab eight rebounds in a 65-60 win over Jarvis Christian College (Texas). Linen followed with 22 points and 12 boards as SAGU defeated Wiley College (Texas), 71-51. She also accounted for nine steals in the two games and a field goal percentage of 48.3% on 14-of-29 shooting. SAGU is tied for second in the RRAC standings at 6-1 with a 13-3 record overall.

 
Also nominated for this week's award were Sanetra Jackson of Langston University (Okla.), Sirena Medrano of Univeristy of the Southwest (N.M.), Latoya Murray of Wiley College (Texas), and Brittany White of Texas Wesleyan University.
