WACO, Texas -- Niocha Hishaw of Jarvis Christian College (Texas) and Stephanie Madden of Langston University (Okla.) were named Red River Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Co-Players of the Week for games played during the dates of Jan. 25-31.

Hishaw, a senior post from Oklahoma City, averaged a double-double in a 3-0 week for the Lady Bulldogs with 13.7 points and 18.3 rebounds per game. She accounted for 20 points and 19 boards in a 109-63 win over Paul Quinn College (Texas) before recording 16 points and 23 boards against Texas College. Hishaw was 15-of-30 shooting from the field for the week and contributed 10 assists. JCC rose to fourth place in the conference standings at 6-4 with a mark of 9-10 on the season.

Madden, a junior forward from Bakersfield, Calif., posted a pair of double-doubles as the Lady Lions remained unbeaten in conference play with two more victories. She poured in 19 points and captured 17 rebounds in a defeat of Texas Wesleyan University then notched 25 points and 12 boards in an 83-62 win over University of the Southwest (N.M.). For the week, Madden made 19-of-34 field goal attempts (55.9%) and chipped in six blocks. Langston is 10-0 in the RRAC and 13-6 overall.



Others receiving nominations this week included Ashley Davis of TWU, Brittany Foster of USW, Chelsea Jones of Southwestern Assemblies of God University (Texas), and Ashley Welch of Wiley College (Texas).
