WACO, Texas -- Sanetra Jackson of Langston University (Okla.) garnered the Red River Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week award for games played over the dates of Feb. 1-7.
Jackson, a senior guard from San Antonio, Texas, kept the Lady Lions perfect in conference play with 30.0 points per game last week. She delivered 31 points and six rebounds to defeat Huston-Tillotson University (Texas), 95-77, before accounting for 29 points and six boards in an 84-72 win over Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas). Jackson connected on 23-of-40 shots from the field including 8-of-16 from three point range on the week. Langston marched on to 12-0 in the RRAC and 15-6 overall as a result.
Others receiving nominations this week included Sirena Medrano of the University of the Southwest (N.M.), Latoya Murray of Wiley College (Texas) and Brittany White of Texas Wesleyan University.
