May 25 - Langston Tracksters Register Top Results at National Meet
Several Langston student-athletes achieved All-America status with their performances at the 2008 NAIA Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Brandee Means placed third in the women's 400-meter dash with a time of 55.30, while William Moses was the runner-up in the High Jump event at 2.11 meters. In addition, Randy Moore finished sixth in the Triple Jump at 14.60 meters while the Langston men's 4x100 relay team placed sixth at a time of 41.36 seconds. Junnell Wright, James Hall, Julius Koger and Willie Felder composed that team.

May 13 - Northwood Claims 2007-08 RRAC All-Sports Award
Closing the academic year with conference championships in baseball and softball, Northwood clinched the 2007-08 Red River Athletic Conference All-Sports Award. Northwood’s 13-12 victory over Texas Wesleyan University in the baseball championship provided the margin between the two schools in the final All-Sports point totals.

May 9 - NAIA Region VI Baseball Tournament
Texas Wesleyan was knocked out of the NAIA Region VI Baseball Tournament on Friday in a semifinal matchup against Lubbock Christian, 8-2. Earlier in the day, the Rams had advanced with a 10-6 victory over Oklahoma Baptist.

May 8 - NAIA Region VI Softball Tournament
Northwood dropped both of its games on the first day of the NAIA Region VI Softball Tournament and was eliminated. The RRAC champions lost to Houston-Victoria and St. Gregory's, while College of the Southwest lost its match-ups against Lubbock Christian and Houston-Victoria.

May 6 - RRAC Baseball Players of the Week
Northwood's R.J. Harris and Justin Parks of earned a share of the RRAC Baseball Player of the Week award for their heroics in the 2008 RRAC Baseball Championship, while their teammate, Kyle Gainey, is this week’s Pitcher of the Week for the dates of April 28-May 4.

May 6 - RRAC Softball Players of the Week
Northwood's Katie Pfannerstill and Ashley Westerman were recognized as the RRAC Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week for April 28-May 4 after they helped lift the Lady Knights to the RRAC Softball Championship last weekend.
