WACO, Texas -- Keenan Allison of Wiley College (Texas) and Jonathan Villela of Bacone College (Okla.) earned recognition as Red River Athletic Conference Baseball Co-Players of the Week for March 3-9, while Tim Hill of Bacone was honored as RRAC Pitcher of the Week over the same dates. This is the sixth set of awards for the 2014 season.
Allison, a senior leftfielder from Beaumont, Texas, posted a .444 batting average and a .722 slugging percentage with two doubles and a home run to lift the Wildcats to a 5-0 week. He had three multiple-hit games in Wiley's four-game sweep of RRAC rival Texas College including a 2-for-2 performance with a homer and four RBIs in an 11-3 win on Friday. Allison also was 3-for-5 in a 15-1 victory with three runs scored. For the week, he scored six runs and drove in seven as the Wildcats started conference play at 4-0 and climbed to 8-13 on the season.
