UST's Yarimar Vazquez played a role in two Celt victories last week.

WACO, Texas – Miriam Garza of Wiley College (Texas) and Yarimar Vazquez of the University of St. Thomas (Texas) were selected as the Red River Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Co-Offensive Players of the Week for April 1-7, while Wiley's Natalie Martinez collected the RRAC Defensive Player of the Week award for the same dates. This is the second set of awards for the 2014 season.

Garza, a sophomore midfielder from Mission, Texas, scored the fastest goal in school history when she netted a shot 12 seconds into a match with Centenary College (La.). The goal propelled Wiley to the first win in program history as the Wildcats won, 3-1. After two winless seasons, Wiley stands at 1-0 this year.
