WACO, Texas – Deric Dudley of the University of St. Thomas (Texas) garnered Red River Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week recognition for his play over the dates of Dec. 8-14. This is the sixth award of the 2014-15 men's basketball season.

 

Dudley averaged 23.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game as the Celts won a pair of conference contests last week. The 6-3 senior guard posted a double-double with 19 points and 10 boards to knock off Langston University (Okla.), 66-58. He followed with 28 points, nine rebounds and eight assists while connecting on six three-pointers to conquer Bacone College (Okla.), 79-47. For the week, Dudley made 9-of-15 shots from the field and 10-of-19 from behind the three-point arc. The Fort Bend native is currently third in the RRAC with 16.1 points per game. UST evened its record at 2-2 in conference play and 5-5 on the season.
