WACO, Texas – Tyeka Ranton of Wiley College (Texas) was named the Red River Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performance over the dates of Nov. 17-23. This is the third weekly honor of the 2014-15 women's basketball season.

 

Ranton guided the Wildcats to a 65-48 trouncing of NCAA Division I opponent Sam Houston State University (Texas) on Friday. The senior guard from River Ridge, La., came off the bench to contribute 23 points, eight rebounds and three steals. She was 9-of-14 from the field including a pair of three-pointers. An NAIA semifinalist in 2013-14, Wiley surged to 4-0 on the season.
