WAXAHACHIE, Texas -- Langston University (Okla.) defeated Southwestern Assemblies of God University (Texas), 70-61, in the championship game of the 2010 Red River Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Tournament here on Saturday.
 
Langston, led by 21 points and 14 rebounds from tournament MVP Stephanie Madden, built a 10-point lead by halftime and held on for its 22nd conference win of the season. Langston won the regular season title and received the RRAC's first automatic berth in the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball National Championship with a 19-1 regular season mark.
 
SAGU earned the RRAC's second automatic national tournament berth by reaching the championship game. Chelsea Jones, a member of the All-Tournament Team, scored 20 points to lead SAGU.
