Langston's Christine Rosas and Morgan Thonhoff sparked a 6-0 week for the Lady Lions.

WACO, Texas – Christine Rosas of Langston University (Okla.) wrapped up the Red River Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week honor for Feb.16-22, while her teammate, Morgan Thonhoff, earned the RRAC Pitcher of the Week award for the same dates. This is the third set of awards for the 2015 softball season.

 

Rosas hit safely in each game during a 6-0 week for the Lady Lions. The sophomore outfielder was 3-for-7 in a double-header sweep of Southwestern Christian University (Okla.), and she was 3-for-5 with an RBI as Langston took a pair of games from Haskell Indian Nations University (Kan.). Rosas closed the week with a 4-for-4 game and two runs scored to sink Southwestern University (Kan.), 7-4. For the week, the San Antonio, Texas, native was 11-for-19 with nine runs scored and four walks. Langston soared to 7-1 on the season while riding a seven-game winning streak.
