Xavier's Wells collects first RRAC men's hoops player of the week honor of the season

WACO, Texas – Cory Wells of Xavier University (La.) was selected as the RRAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Oct. 30-Nov. 5. This is the first award of the 2023-24 men's basketball season.

Wells posted a double-double as the Gold Rush defeated the College of Biblical Studies (Texas), 79-64. The senior forward from Murphy, Texas, compiled 15 points, 11 rebounds and six steals. Wells was 6-of-13 from the field as Xavier moved to 2-0 on the season.
