RRAC announces 2023 RRAC women's soccer all-conference selections, players of the year
WACO, Texas – Much like the race for the conference title, the 2023 RRAC Women's Soccer All-Conference Team shows how competitive this season was. Voting on the team and other postseason awards was conducted by the conference's head coaches following the completion of the regular season, and the results were announced tonight at the pre-semifinal banquet in Texarkana.

Two teams put a trio of players on the first team. Conference champion Xavier and Texas A&M-Texarkana place three first-teamers each, and LSU Shreveport landed two.
Xavier's Luci Schroeder collected two major awards as the Offensive Player of the Year and the Newcomer of the Year. The junior from Samtens, Germany netted 12 goals and assisted on 11.
Collecting another award for Xavier, Head Coach Ashley Cordeiro was selected as Coach of the Year after leading the Gold Nuggets to the conference championship and a 12-4 record in the program's first season.
Two players from LSUS were named RRAC Co-Defensive Players of the Year. Defender Dawniella Torres and Goalkeeper Carlota Alcalde share the award after leading the Pilots to 10 shutouts this season.
Three other schools had first team selections including Houston-Victoria (Trine Stenderup-Jorgensen), Louisiana Christian (Emma Monnet), LSU Alexandria (Alexia Bermejo), and Texas A&M-San Antonio (Ana Barragan).
