Pilots' Brown recognized as RRAC women's hoops player of the week
WACO, Texas – Alexis Brown of LSU Shreveport (La.) garnered the RRAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week award for her performance over the dates of Dec. 4-10. This is the sixth award of the 2023-24 women's basketball season.
Brown led all scorers with 22 points as the Pilots sank No. 25 Rust College (Miss.), 68-59, on Thursday. The senior guard from Dallas was 7-of-11 from the field and nearly perfect while hitting on 5-of-6 three-pointers. Brown also contributed three rebounds and two steals. She raised her scoring average to 9.4 points per game on the season. LSUS holds at 2-0 in the RRAC standings and climbs to a 6-2 record overall.
