NAU's Rivers claims RRAC women's hoops weekly award
WACO, Texas – Keiarra Rivers of North American University (Texas) earned recognition as the RRAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her play over the dates of Dec. 11-17. This is the seventh award of the 2023-24 women's basketball season.
Rivers averaged 25.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for the Stallions. The graduate guard delivered 23 points and 16 boards in a 77-72 loss to Jarvis Christian University (Texas), and she reached 27 points in a 99-75 win over Texas College on Saturday. Rivers connected on 20-of-31 field goal attempts for the week. She is second in the conference with 20.8 points per game this season. NAU stayed even at 2-2 in RRAC play and stepped to 5-6 on the season.
