OLLU's Law, Rand recognized with men's hoops weekly awards

WACO, Texas – Trey Law of Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) earned recognition as the RRAC Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week for Nov. 11-17, while his teammate, Lonzo Rand, was named the RRAC Defensive Player of the Week for the same dates. This is the third set of weekly awards for the 2024-25 men's basketball season.

Law averaged 15.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game as the Saints won a pair of conference games on the road. The senior guard from Mobile, Ala., scored 19 points in a 76-71 victory over Xavier University (La.), and he added 12 in a 75-71 win over Louisiana Christian University. For the week, he was 14-of-22 from the field. Law is fifth in the conference in field goal percentage this season (65.6%). OLLU stayed unbeaten at 6-0.

Rand provided four steals and five defensive rebounds for the Saints. The senior guard from Tampa Bay, Fla., also averaged 11.0 points per game last week.
