Anderson, Natt recognized with RRAC men's hoops weekly awards

WACO, Texas – Taj Anderson of LSU Shreveport (La.) garnered the RRAC Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week award for Dec. 2-8, while Kashie Natt of LSU Alexandria (La.) was named the RRAC Defensive Player of the Week for the same dates. This is the sixth set of weekly awards for the 2024-25 men's basketball season.

Anderson averaged 26.3 points per game in a 2-1 week for the Pilots. The senior guard from Queens, N.Y., poured in 29 points in a loss to Xavier University (La.) on Monday and 36 in a victory over University of the Southwest (N.M.) on Saturday. Anderson made 25-of-42 shots from the field including 16-of-29 on three-point attempts. He is tied for first in the conference with 19.0 points per game this season. LSUS improved to 3-4 in conference play and 6-5 overall.

Natt grabbed seven steals and 21 defensive rebounds in a 3-0 week for the Generals. The senior guard from Rayville, La., accounted for three steals and 14 rebounds in an 82-62 victory over Louisiana Christian University. Natt leads the RRAC in rebounding with 10.1 per game, and he's fifth in scoring with 16.9 points per game. LSUA is tied for the conference lead at 6-1 with a 9-1 mark on the season.
