LSUA's Natt, HT's Wright receive RRAC men's hoops weekly honors

WACO, Texas – Kashie Natt of LSU Alexandria (La.) was recognized as the RRAC Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week for Dec. 16-22, while Jayce Wright of Huston-Tillotson University (Texas) was tabbed as the RRAC Defensive Player of the Week for the same dates.  This is the eighth set of weekly awards for the 2024-25 men's basketball season.

Natt posted a pair of double-doubles in a 2-0 week for the Generals. The senior guard from Rayville, La., delivered 19 points and 11 rebounds in a 74-71 victory at Texas A&M University-San Antonio, and he followed with 28 points and 10 boards in an 85-71 triumph over Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) for the top spot in the RRAC. Natt connected on 19-of-39 shots from the field and 8-of-8 from the free throw line for the week. He leads the conference with 10.4 rebounds per game. LSUA marched to 10-1 in conference play and 13-1 on the season.

Wright made a difference for the Rams in their 81-77 victory over Texas College last Tuesday. The senior guard from Killeen, Texas, swiped six steals and blocked a shot. Wright also collected five defensive rebounds in the win. HT moved to 3-7 in the RRAC and 3-9 overall.
