LCU's Goff, Xavier's Campbell corral RRAC women's hoops weekly awards

WACO, Texas – Princis Goff of Louisiana Christian University garnered the RRAC Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week award for Dec. 16-22, while Joy Campbell of Xavier University (La.) collected the RRAC Defensive Player of the Week honor for the same dates. This is the eighth set of weekly awards for the 2024-25 women's basketball season.

Goff averaged 18.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game in a 1-2 week for the Wildcats. The junior forward from Atlanta, La., notched 21 points and 10 boards in a victory over Paul Quinn College (Texas), and she scored 22 in a loss to University of the Southwest (N.M.). Goff was 16-of-48 from the field and 17-of-23 from the free throw line for the week. She leads the conference with 20.4 points per game this season. LCU now holds marks of 3-7 in the RRAC and 3-9 overall.

Campbell recorded 10 steals in two Gold Nugget victories last week. The graduate guard from Fontana, Calif., compiled seven steals in Xavier's win over PQC. Campbell also collected five defensive rebounds. She leads the RRAC with 3.6 steals per game this season. Xavier's 12-0 start is its best in the Title IX era, and the Gold Nuggets are 9-0 in conference play.
