TAMUSA's Trevino, NAU's Moore garner RRAC women's hoops weekly honors

WACO, Texas – Natalia Trevino of Texas A&M University-San Antonio earned recognition as the RRAC Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week award for Dec. 30-Jan. 5, while Victoria Moore of North Amerrican University (Texas) was named the RRAC Defensive Player of the Week for the same dates. This is the ninth set of weekly awards for the 2024-25 women's basketball season.

Trevino posted 21.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week for the Jaguars. The graduate guard from Laredo, Texas, dropped in 24 points against University of the Southwest (N.M.), and she accounted for 18 points and 10 boards against Paul Quinn College (Texas). Trevino made 16-of-35 shots from the field for the week, and she is second in the conference in scoring with 18.6 points per game. TAMUSA surged to 9-3 in conference play and 12-4 overall in its inaugural season.

Moore produced six steals in a 2-0 week for the Stallions. The senior guard from Houston had three steals each in games against Texas A&M University-Texarkana and Jarvis Christian University (Texas). Moore also chipped in four defensive rebounds. NAU evened its records to 5-5 in conference play and 8-8 on the season.
