LSUA's Natt, Xavier's Dunning land RRAC men's hoops player of the week awards

WACO, Texas – Kashie Natt of LSU Alexandria (La.) captured the RRAC Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week award for Jan. 13-19, while Corey Dunning of Xavier University (La.) garnered the RRAC Defensive Player of the Week honor for the same dates. This is the 11th set of weekly awards for the 2024-25 men's basketball season.

Natt scored 18 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in the Generals' 104-72 victory over Texas College on Saturday. The senior guard from Rayville, La., sank 6-of-12 shots from the field with four assists and three steals. Natt leads the RRAC in rebounding with 10.2 per game and he's fourth in scoring with 17.8 points per game. LSUA maintains its lead in the conference standings at 14-1 with a 17-1 mark overall.

Dunning collected 12 defensive rebounds, seven blocked shots and three steals in a 1-1 week for the Gold Rush. The graduate forward from Lafayette, La., set a season-high with five blocks in a loss to North American University (Texas), and he had 13 total rebounds in that game. Dunning is sixth in the conference with 20 blocks this season. Xavier sits in second place in the conference at 11-4 with a 12-5 record on the season.
