HT's Cavazos, OLLU's Litterio capture RRAC softball weekly awards

WACO, Texas – Menina Cavazos of Huston-Tillotson University (Texas) earned the RRAC Softball Player of the Week award for March 10-16, while Annika Litterio of Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) garnered the RRAC Pitcher of the Week award for the same dates. This is the seventh set of weekly winners for the 2025 RRAC softball season.

Cavazos drove in at least one run in all four games last week as the Rams went 2-2 against RRAC competition. The senior infielder finished the week with nine RBI's including four in an 8-6 victory over Texas College. Cavazos homered in both games against the Steers, and she went 8-for-12 at the plate for the week with four runs scored, a walk and a stolen base. She is ninth in the conference with three home runs this season. HT is now 2-10 in both conference play and the regular season.

Litterio tossed two complete games and earned two wins as the Saints enjoyed a 4-0 week. The junior right-hander from San Antonio scattered eight hits and allowed two unearned runs over 14 innings in the circle. Litterio struck out 15 and walked two in her appearances, one of which was a three-hit shutout over Louisiana Christian University. Litterio is now second in the conference in ERA (1.83) and strikeouts (89), and she is tied for the lead in wins (12). OLLU is 12-0 in the RRAC and 25-5 overall.
