Xavier Wins 2025 RRAC Women's Soccer Championship After Defeating LSU Shreveport 2-0

TEXARKANA, Texas (Nov. 12, 2025)- Xavier University of Louisiana scored two goals in the first half to capture the 2025 RRAC Women's Soccer Championship earlier today. The second-seed Gold Nuggets repeat as tournament champions after defeating LSU Shreveport 2-0.

This is the Gold Nuggets' second consecutive title win after they defeated LSU Alexandria 2-2 (2-1 PKs) last year.

2025 RRAC Women's Soccer Championship Results

XULA's Keira Hardstaff scored the first goal at the 16th minute on an assist from Anita Roese. Just before the end of the half, Roese scored on an assist from Juliana Kottbauer.

Both teams took 10 shots, with XULA taking six in the opening period and four in the second half, while LSUS took two shots in the first half and eight in the final period. XULA keeper Luisa Bella and LSUS keeper Elena Lopez both grabbed four saves each. Lea Cordier took three shots for the Gold Nuggets, and Lauren Mercer took three for the Pilots.

The Gold Nuggets (11-2-4) will advance to the NAIA national tournament with an automatic berth along with regular-season champion LSU Shreveport (12-7-0).
