Texarkana wraps up season with 2025 RRAC volleyball tournament title

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Following up on its 9-1 conference record and regular season title, Texas A&M-Texarkana swept through the field to win the 2025 RRAC Volleyball Championship on Friday. The Eagles avenged their only conference loss of the season with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-23) over No. 2 seed Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) at Xavier University (La.). 

2025 RRAC Volleyball Championship Results

TAMUT's Paulina Dobreva, fresh off being named the RRAC Player of the Year, was named the tournament MVP. She posted a .286 hitting percentage in the title match with 10 kills and 12 digs. Zoe Martinez provided 20 assists, and Lauren Herz delivered 17 digs. 

OLLU was led by Anais Velazquez with 11 kills, and the Saints' Lauren Reynard led all players with 27 assists. 

The Eagles also swept Louisiana Christian, 3-0, in the semifinals en route to the matchup with OLLU. 

Representatives on the RRAC All-Tournament Team included Dobreva, Kaitlyn Cabral and Candace Fuchs from TAMUT, Reynard and Velazquez from OLLU, Jakayla Jimcolly from Louisiana Christian, and Charity Metcalf from Xavier.
