LSUS' Brittingham, UNTD's Crawford Selected as RRAC Men's Hoops Players of the Week

WACO, Texas (Jan. 19, 2026) – LSU Shreveport's Hayden Brittingham and the University of North Texas-Dallas' Greg Crawford have been named the RRAC Men's Hoops Players of the Week for the dates of Jan. 12-18. This is the 11th set of weekly awards.


RRAC Offensive Player of the Week – Hayden Brittingham – (15) LSU Shreveport

Hayden Brittingham and the Pilots went 2-0 this week to set their conference record at 12-0, the best start in program history. He led his team to a 100-85 win over Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) and a 113-84 victory over Texas A&M-San Antonio. He averaged a double-double of 33 points and 10 rebounds. The senior forward also recorded one of his better double-double totals against TAMUSA, tallying 38 points and 12 rebounds. LSUS swept the week with 100-plus totals in each contest.

Brittingham leads the NAIA with 141-of-238 field goals, 70 offensive rebounds, 178 total rebounds, and he is first in the RRAC with 75 defensive rebounds, 123 total rebounds, 10.3 rebounds/game, 262 points, and 21.8 points/game.

This is Brittingham's sixth player of the week award – three for offense and three for defense.

The Pilots jumped from No. 25 to 15 in the latest NAIA coaches' poll. Statistically, they are third in the NAIA blocks/game (5.8), ninth in total rebounds/game (42.2), fourth in three-point percentage (40.1), and fifth in field goal percentage (51.4).

RRAC Defensive Player of the Week – Greg Crawford – North Texas-Dallas

Greg Crawford notched a pair of double-doubles to give him six overall this season, as he averaged 14.5 points and 15.5 rebounds in two road games in Louisiana (LCU 75-67 and 75-67 LSUA). Crawford led the Trailblazers in scoring against LCU (12) and LSUA (17). He also had 22 rebounds during the week after he broke the previous single-game record with 23. He snatched 14 with 12 defensive boards at LSUA. Crawford continues to rank top five in points and rebounds in the RRAC.

Crawford tops his team with 127-of-183 free throws, 268 points, 16.8 points/game, 168 total rebounds, 37 assists, and 18 steals.

UNTD is 6-10 overall and 5-7 in the RRAC.

RRAC Notebook:

  • TAMUT guard Jarren Cook, a graduate student, erupted for 41 points in the Eagles' 93-66 win over OLLU, shooting an electric 13-of-19 from beyond the arc. He also led his team to a 76-62 win over TAMUSA. Cook set the new school record for three pointers made in a single game (13) and surpassed the 1,000-point career milestone in the Eagles' victory.
  • LSUA senior forward Johnny DeWalt scored eight points in his team's victories over Xavier (La.) (69-63), Southwest (N.M.), and UNTD (75-67).
  • NAU senior forward Joseph Cormier scored 12 points in his team's 79-66 victory over Jarvis Christian (Texas) and 17 in his team's 83-73 win over Texas College. He added 16 rebounds, two steals, and two blocks.
  • TAMUT senior guard Daryl Houston was impactful during the week for the Eagles' defense. Averaging 9.5 rebounds/game and 2 steals/game, Houston was one rebound shy of recording back-to-back double-doubles this week. Houston shot 64 percent on the week and dished out seven assists.
  • NAU junior guard Jayden Jackson led his team to an 83-73 win over TXC and a79-66 win over JCU. He scored a total of 25 points, adding nine rebounds, four assists, six steals, and one block.
  • LSUA junior guard TJ James led his team to three wins last week – XULA 69-63, USW 86-55, and UNTD 75-67. He tallied 16 points, adding 27 rebounds, seven assists, three steals, and one block.
  • LCU senior forward Justice Kelly scored 15 points in his team's 67-59 loss to UNTD and 81-76 loss to USW. He recorded 17 rebounds, three assists, five steals, and three blocks.
