LSU Shreveport lands every first-place vote in the 2026 RRAC Baseball Preseason Poll
WACO, Texas (Jan. 21, 2026) – LSU Shreveport finished last season with an undefeated 59-0 overall record, a 30-0 conference record, the RRAC regular-season and postseason trophies, the NAIA championship title, and a visit to the White House. Not surprisingly, the Pilots have been picked to repeat this year, receiving all 10 first-place votes in the 2026 RRAC Baseball Preseason Poll. The Pilots have won 10 of the last 14 RRAC regular-season titles and nine of the previous 14 RRAC tournament titles.
The defending national champions are ranked No. 1 in the NAIA Baseball Preseason Coaches' Poll, announced in November 2025. LSUS returns seven-year Head Coach Brad Neffendorf (270-49).
NAIA No. 20 Texas A&M Univeristy-Victoria finished with an overall record of 38-17 and a conference record of 22-8. Coached by Jonathan Stavinoha (100-61), the Jaguars earned a spot in nationals but lost both opening round games. They return 2025 RRAC All-Conference recipients outfielder Terry Burrel III and pitcher Jonathan Jones.
Texas A&M University-Texarkana, the third pick in the RRAC poll, lost both of its conference postseason matchups. The Eagles posted a 34-18 overall record and a 20-10 conference record under Interim Head Coach Chase Brewster, who this year removed the interim title. The Eagles return the 2025 RRAC Freshman of the Year infielder Austin Kerns.
The preseason's fourth pick, Our Lady of the Lake, recorded a 30-23 overall record and 20-10 in conference last year. The Saints won two of four postseason games as the fourth seed. Head Coach Matt Piker, who began his tenure in 2022, has an overall record of 88-67 and a 56-33 mark in the RRAC. The Saints return RRAC All-Conference utility player Jack Kalisky, who was named a 2026 NAIA Baseball Preseason All-American.
Coaches for the rest of the RRAC teams include Jarvis Christian's Dion Holbrock, Louisiana Christian's Mike Byrnes, LSU Alexandria's Kody Gautreaux, Southwest's Steve Appel, Texas College's Jarrail Jackson, and Xavier's Xavier Paul.
