RRAC Defensive Player of the Week – Hayden Brittingham – (13) LSU Shreveport

He opened the week with eight rebounds and three blocks in a 113-87 road win over TXC, immediately setting the tone defensively. In a key conference victory over NAU, Brittingham again grabbed eight rebounds and added three more blocks, protecting the rim and altering numerous shots in the paint. He capped the week with a nine-rebound effort (six defensive) against XULA, while adding another block and a steal. For the week, Brittingham recorded six total blocks, consistently protecting the rim and forcing opponents to adjust their offensive approach in the paint.
In the RRAC, Brittingham is first with 187-of-325 field goals, 235 rebounds, and 18.5 points/game. He ranks second with 455 points, 47 blocks, and 97 offensive rebounds. He has recorded nine double-doubles. This is Brittingham's fourth defensive player of the week award, and he also has three offensive player of the week awards.
LSUS has clinched the RRAC Regular-Season Title and will be the first seed in the postseason tournament. The Pilots have also received a spot in the NAIA National Championship Tournament.
