2026 RRAC Women's Basketball Tournament Gets Underway Feb. 24

WACO, Texas (Feb. 24, 2026) – Hoops action for the 2026 RRAC Women's Basketball Tournament officially gets underway on Tuesday, Feb. 24. Quarterfinal matchups will be played at campus sites Feb. 24-25, while the semifinals and finals will take place in Alexandria, La., Feb. 28-March 1. LSU Alexandria is this year's tournament host at the Laborde Earles Coliseum.

Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) leads the conference with eight regular-season titles, the last in 2022. LSU Shreveport has the most tournament wins with six.

#1 LSU Shreveport vs. #8 Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) – Feb. 24 at 5:30 p.m.

LSU Shreveport, led by second-year Head Coach Tim Hays, won the RRAC Regular Season Title after finishing at 20-2, and an overall record of 24-4. The Pilots received 50 votes in the NAIA Women's Basketball Poll. Just like the men's team, the women lost just two games against conference opponents – North American (Texas) 66-62 and Texas A&M-San Antonio, 71-67. 

LSUS has put up impressive numbers, including 752-of-1762 field goals (RRAC best), 191-of-651 threes (RRAC best), 318-of-494 free throws, 361 offensive rebounds, 738 defensive rebounds, 1099 total rebounds, 438 assists (RRAC best), 107 blocks, 433 steals (RRAC best), and 2015 points for 72.0 points/game.

The Pilots are led by Selma Markisic, who leads her team with 172-of-237 field goals, 75-of-237 threes, and 495 points for 17.7 points/game. Toni Coleman dominates the three with 93-of-144 made, 105 assists, and 133 steals. Amandine L'Etang has 68 blocks.

LSUS won both matchups against OLLU this season, 78-61 and 60-38.

OLLU is coached by first-year Head Coach Ryan Showman. His team finished with an 8-14 conference record and is currently 9-19 overall. The Saints' stats are as follows: 606-of-1599 field goals, 131-of-556 threes, 338-of-483 free throws, 308 offensive rebounds, 765 defensive rebounds (RRAC best), 1073 total rebounds, 318 assists, 29 blocks, 243 steals, 1681 points, and 60.0 points/game.

The team is led by Alexandra Westerdijk Martin, with 142-of-277 field goals, 103 offensive rebounds, 182 defensive rebounds, 285 total rebounds, and 351 points for 12.5 points/game. Samantha Fields is her team leader with 38-of-61 threes, while teammate Shayla Dede has 81-of-110 free throws, 68 assists, seven blocks, and 54 steals.

#4 Xavier (La.) vs. #5 LSU Alexandria – Feb. 25 at 5:30 p.m.

XULA finished 14-8 in conference play and 18-10 overall. Their stats this season are as follows: 599-of-1655 field goals, 128-of-448 threes, and 359-of-572 free throws. The Gold Nuggets have recorded 455 offensive rebounds (RRAC best), 701 defensive rebounds, 1156 total rebounds (RRAC best), 335 assists, 71 blocks, 272 steals, and 1691 points for 62.6 points/game.

Alicia Blanton tops her team with 98-of-265 field goals, 99-of-143 free throws, 125 defensive rebounds, 185 total rebounds, and 303 points for 11.2 points/game. Tiarra Williams has recorded 115 assists and 58 steals. Fatima Black has gotten 12 blocks this season.

XULA defeated LSUA 69-58 and lost 65-60 in the season. 27-year Head Coach Bo Browder leads the Gold Nuggets.

Fifth-seed LSUA finished the conference season with a record of 13-9, and the Generals are 14-13 overall. Four-year Head Coach Billy Perkins coaches the team. Their stats are as follows: 1855 points, 678-of-1607 field goals, 150-of-509 threes, 349-of-544 free throws, 1084 rebounds, 423 assists, 258 steals, and 73 blocks.

Sydney Person leads the Generals with 384 points, 14.2 points/game, and 161-of-337 field goals. Kelly Norris has made 32-of-101 threes, while Justice Young has totaled 183 rebounds, 23 blocks, and Reese Stephens has added 98 assists and 48 steals.

#3 Texas A&M-Texarkana vs. #6 UNT-Dallas – Feb. 25 at 5:30 p.m.

Head Coach Deacon Jones is in his first season with the Eagles. He guided his team to a 17-4 RRAC record and a 19-9 overall record.

TAMUT boasts the following stats: 698-of-1795 field goals, 133-of-599 threes, 377-of-599 free throws, 420 offensive rebounds, 659 defensive rebounds, 1079 total rebounds, 367 assists, 39 blocks, 419 steals, and 1906 points for 68.1 points/game.

Individual leaders are Chi'onne Dailey, who has made 70-of-99 free throws; Breyionce George, with 119-of-283 field goals for 299 points; Chioma Treasure Emeh, with 68 rebounds; and Imani Rothschild, with 129 rebounds, 96 assists, and 83 steals.

TAMUT defeated UNTD 81-69 and 74-45 in the regular season.

Sixth-seeded UNTD is led by first-year Head Coach Otis Nicksion. The team ended the regular season with a 10-12 record and is now 11-13.

The Trailblazers' stats are as follows: 1635 points for 68.1 points/game, 602-of-1574 field goals, 139-of-536 threes, 290-of-468 free throws, 990 rebounds, 345 assists, 382 steals, and 99 blocks.

De'Asia Johnson leads her team with 362 points for 15.7 points/game,135-of-330 field goals, 40-of-138 threes, 52-of-73 free throws, 71 offensive rebounds, 108 defensive rebounds,  and 179 total rebounds. Shandrea Yeldell is tops with 121 assists and 106 steals, and Allysa Pendley has 23 blocks.

This is UNTD's first year in the conference.

#2 Texas A&M-San Antonio vs. #7 Texas College - Feb. 25 at 6 p.m.

Head Coach Chris Minner joined the Jaguars during their inaugural season in 2024. He has led his team to a 17-4 conference record and a 21-7 overall record. Stats for the Jaguars are as follows: 704-of-1817 field goals, 167-of-613 threes, 486-of-658 free throws (RRAC best), 349 offensive rebounds, 742 defensive rebounds, 1091 total rebounds, 358 assists, 125 blocks (RRAC best), 404 steals, and 2063 points (RRAC best) for 73.7 points/game (RRAC best).

Individual standouts for TAMUSA are the following: Evelyn Lorenzo – 103-of-283 field goals, 148-of-183 free throws, 101 assists, 62 steals, and 367 points for 13.1 points/game; TaMya Whitemon – 52-of-151 threes; Hailee Brandon – 43 offensive rebounds; Aniyah Lewis – 114 defensive rebounds, 152 total rebounds; and Zaadiyah Stovall – 27 blocks.

The Jaguars lost to Texas College 76-74 and won 83-43.

Head Coach Jamaal Evans leads seventh seed Texas College. The Lady Steers' stats are as follows: 561-of-1651 field goals, 106-of-436 threes, 363-of-619 free throws, 366 offensive rebounds, 640 defensive rebounds, 1006 total rebounds, 209 assists, 76 blocks, 399 steals, and 1606 points for 57.4 points/game.

Rakia Lee has made 105-of-325 field goals, 42-of-159 threes, adding 40 offensive rebounds, 110 total rebounds, 29 assists, 69 steals, and 304 points for 12.2 points/game. Jakairi Blacknell leads in free throws with 61-of-106 and 19 blocks.

The Steers' big wins this season were against TAMUSA and UNTD (58-57).


What's next

The winner between TAMUSA and TXC will play the winner between TAMUT and UNTD on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 1 p.m. The winner of LSUS and OLLU will play the winner between XULA and LSUA on Feb. 28 at 3 p.m. On Sunday, March 1, the final two teams will play in the championship game at 2 p.m.

As the regular-season champion, LSUS will receive an automatic bid to the 45th Annual Women's Basketball National Championship Opening Rounds that will take place March 13-14 at various campus sites. The final site will be held March 19-24 at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa. The tournament champion (or runner-up) will also receive an automatic bid to nationals.
