TAMUT's Williams and LSUS' Wallace awarded last RRAC Men's Hoops Players of the Week

WACO, Texas (Feb. 23, 2026) – In the final RRAC Men's Hoops Player of the Week awards, Texas A&M-Texarkana's Deovaunta Williams has been named Offensive Player of the Week, while (13) LSU Shreveport's Khi Wallace has received Defensive Player of the Week honors for the dates of Feb. 9-15. This is the 16th and final set of weekly awards.


RRAC Offensive Player of the Week – Deovaunta Williams – Texas A&M-Texarkana

TAMUT senior guard Deovaunta Williams averaged 22 points per game this week across three games, with 90.9% from the free-throw line, and 45% from the field. He scored 20 points in the nonconference game against Arkansas Baptist as the Eagles won 77-67. He rallied 26 points as the Eagles fell to Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) 84-71, and he added 20 points as his team defeated Texas A&M-San Antonio 78-70. Williams also recorded 18 rebounds, seven assists, nine steals, and three blocks.

Williams leads his team with 158-of-408 field goals, 72-of-93 free throws, 71 assists, 60 steals, and 445 points. This is his second Offensive Player of the Week award.

TAMUT will enter the postseason as the fifth seed after posting a 14-7 conference record and a 19-9 overall record. The Eagles travel to fourth-seed OLLU for a quarterfinals game on Feb. 24 at 7 p.m.

RRAC Defensive Player of the Week – Khi Wallace – (13) LSU Shreveport

LSUS sophomore forward Khi Wallace was the defensive anchor for his team in two pivotal RRAC road victories last week, leading the Pilots to wins over TAMUSA (94-84) and OLLU (81-70). In just 57 total minutes, Wallace pulled down 25 rebounds, averaging 12.5 per game, including 17 defensive boards. Wallace also protected the rim at a high level, totaling five blocks (2.5 per game) across the two contests. He recorded 14 rebounds and two blocks at TAMUSA before following with 11 rebounds and three blocks at OLLU.

Wallace leads his team with 157 defensive rebounds. He has made 177-of-279 field goals, 73-of-128 free throws, 87 offensive rebounds, 157 defensive rebounds, 24 assists, 40 blocks, 28 steals, and 429 points for 15.3 points/game. This is his third Defensive Player of the Week award, and he also earned one Offensive Player of the Week award.

LSUS has clinched the RRAC Regular-Season Title and will be the first seed in the postseason tournament. The Pilots will host eighth-seed TAMUSA on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 7:30 p.m.

The Pilots have also received a spot in the NAIA National Championship Tournament. LSUS is ranked No. 13 in the NAIA Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll. The Pilots are 23-5 overall and 20-2 in conference.

  • LCU senior forward Justice Kelly scored 34 points in his team's 87-74 victory over Southwest (N.M.) and 11 in the team's 82-62 loss to UNTD.
  • LSUA junior guard EJ McQuillan scored 31 points in his team's victories over UNTD (60-49) and USW (86-64).
  • OLLU junior guard Jaydin Morin-Bishop tallied 29 points in his team's 84-71 victory over TAMUT and 81-70 loss to LSUS.
  • NAU Jamarric Hammond scored his 1,000th career point this week and scored a triple-double and a double-double. He tallied 26 points in his team's 80-70 victory over Paul Quinn (Texas), 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists in the Stallions' 80-76 win over Jarvis Christian (Texas), and 18 points and 12 rebounds in the victory over Texas College 97-76.
  • XULA senior guard Bentravin Phillips totaled 26 points in his team's 75-47 victory over TXC and 85-64 win over JCU.
  • UNTD senior guard Orion Virden averaged 15.5 points to lead the Trailblazers in a pair of games last week in the final games of the regular season. Virden scored 14 points against LSUA and claimed a personal-best 17 points with the Trailblazers on his "Senior Day" game that included five made three-pointers. Virden has scored double figures in the past five straight games.
  • TAMUSA senior guard Antwone Gonzales put up 36 points against LSUS in a 94-84 loss. He put up 24 points in the Jaguars' 78-70 loss to TAMUT.
  • LSUA junior guard TJ James tallied 13 rebounds in his team's victories over UNTD (60-49) and USW (86-64).
  • OLLU sophomore guard Jermey Irwin grabbed 11 rebounds, three steals, and one block in his team's 84-71 victory over TAMUT and 81-70 loss to LSUS.
  • TAMUT senior guard Daryl Houston averaged 9.5 rebounds/game in last week's games. Houston also recorded his eighth double-double of the season.
  • XULA junior guard Leon Williams added six rebounds, three steals, and one block in his team's two victories last week.
  • UNTD graduate student Greg Crawford led the Trailblazers with 11.5 rebounds and 9.5 defensive rebounds in two games for the Trailblazers last week. He was one rebound shy of a double-double on Thursday against LSUA, as he led a UNTD team that held the Generals to a season-low 60 points. Crawford was then a point shy of a Senior Day triple-double in an 82-62 win over LCU, where he grabbed a game-high 12 boards. Crawford leads the RRAC in rebounds/game, and he improved to a tie for fifth in NAIA.
