LSUS and TAMUT advance to semifinals in the RRAC Men's Basketball Tournament
WACO, Texas (Feb. 24, 2026) – Day One of the 2026 RRAC Men's Basketball Quarterfinals concluded with top-seeded LSU Shreveport defeating eighth-seeded Texas A&M-San Antonio, 108-86. Fifth-seeded Texas A&M-Texarkana snuck by fourth-seeded Our Lady of the Lake (Texas), 83-75.
The two winning programs - LSUS and TAMUT – will face each other in the semifinals on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 7:30 p.m. TAMUSA ends the 2026 season with an 8-21 overall record and a 7-14 RRAC record. OLLU concludes the season with an overall record of 16-12 and a conference record of 15-7.
The Pilots, now 24-5, were led by Hayden Brittingham, who tallied 11-of-17 from the field and 7-of-10 from the charity stripe for 29 points. He added four rebounds and eight assists. LSUS recorded 40-of-61 field goals, 20-of-34 free throws, 34 rebounds, 24 assists, and 10 blocks.
Both Antwone Gonzales and Carson Brown scored 17 points for the Jaguars. The team posted 30-of-59 from the field, 17-of-24 from the free throw line, 32 rebounds, and 18 assists.
The Eagles had four of their starters score in double figures – Deovaunta Williams with 18, Jakari Livingston with 18, Jason Bush Jr. with 13, and Daryl Houston with 14, adding 12 rebounds. TAMUT finished with 31-of-70 field goals, 14-of-27 free throws, 36 rebounds, 14 assists, and 14 steals. The Eagles are now 20-9.
The Saints were led by Barack Holland, who scored 22 points and added seven rebounds. Jermey Irwin contributed 16 points. OLLU's stats are 21-of-44 from the field, 27-of-35 from the free throw line, 37 rebounds, and 13 assists.
