RRAC awarded TAMUV's Carter as Softball Player of the Week and OLLU's Litterio as Pitcher of the Week

WACO, Texas (March 9, 2026) – The RRAC announces Texas A&M-Victoria's Alyssa Carter as Softball Player of the Week and ninth-ranked Our Lady of the Lake's (Texas) Annika Litterio as Pitcher of the Week for the dates of March 2-8. This is the sixth set of weekly awards.


RRAC Softball Player of the Week – Alyssa Carter – Texas A&M-Victoria 

Junior utility player Alyssa Carter guided her team to two wins last week. The Jaguars defeated (RV 61) Faulkner (Ala.) 6-2 and Bethel (Tenn.) 4-2. TAMUV also lost to (RV 14) Williams Baptist (Ark.) 3-2, (RV 44) Tennessee Southern 9-1, and (RV 5) Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) 7-2. Carter went 7-for-16 for an average of .438, adding two runs, two doubles, and a stolen base. 

Carter's season stats are 24-of-55 for an average of .436, 17 runs, five doubles, a triple, 19 RBIs, and four stolen bases. She has accumulated 18 putouts and eight assists. 

TAMUV is fourth in conference with a 14-6 overall record and 5-1 in the RRAC. The Eagles received three votes in the latest NAIA Softball Coaches' Top 25 Poll.

RRAC Softball Pitcher of the Week – Annika Litterio – (9) Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) 

Senior right-handed pitcher Annika Litterio pitched in all four of the Saints' games last week. She secured two wins – Freed-Hardeman, 9-8, and (22) William Carey, 4-2. She suffered one loss against (20) Mobile (Ala.), 2-1, and one no-decision to (10) Southeastern (Fla.), 1-0. Litterio pitched 18.1 innings, allowing three unearned runs, while striking out 14. Her ERA for the week is 1.15. She also added three assists. 

Litterio has 11 wins and two losses, plus one save. She pitched in a total of 68 innings and struck out 83. She is second in the RRAC with a 1.34 ERA, and first in wins and in strikeouts. This is Litterio's third Pitcher of the Week award. 

OLLU is first in the conference with a 6-0 record and 16-3 overall. The Saints are ranked ninth in the latest NAIA Softball Coaches' Top 25 Poll.

RRAC Notebook:

  • LSUA junior outfielder Kilee Moody went 6-for-13 last week, adding two runs, one double, two RBIs, and 6-of-6 putouts.
  • TAMUT junior utility player Mackenzie Williams had a strong weekend in the Gulf Shores. She went 9-of-14, adding six runs, two triples, an RBI, and a batting average of .643.
  • OLLU senior utility player Arianna Alejandro went 4-for-13 last week, adding two runs, a triple, a stolen base, and 7-of-7 putouts.
  • LCU sophomore third baseman Isabella Battaglia tallied three hits, four RBIs, two putouts, and two assists.
  • XULA freshman outfielder Jada Jones guided her team to two conference wins against LCU. She totaled three hits, two runs, four RBIs, a stolen base, 9 -of-10 putouts, one assist, and one double play.
  • LSUA senior right-handed pitcher Lainee Bailey secured the 10-1 win over ( 8)  Central Methodist. The team lost 2-1 to (25) Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), 6-2 to (13)  Cumberlands (Ky.), and 4-0 to (RV 18) Campbellsville (Ky.). She pitched a total of 12 innings and struck out 10.
  • TAMUV sophomore right-handed pitcher Zoe Hardy picked up two wins last week and struck out 10 batters over 17 innings at the Gulf Coast Invitational. Additionally, she drove in an RBI in the lone game she hit for herself.
  • TAMUT senior Rylee Glen picked up two wins over the weekend in the Gulf Shores. She struck out eight batters in the Eagles' two five-inning run-rule victories.
  • LCU junior right-handed pitcher Olivia Falcon secured a 7-5 win over XULA. She pitched 4.2 innings, allowing three runs and two hits, while striking out four. She also added six assists.
