RRAC's LSUS and TAMUSA headed to NAIA Women's Basketball National Tournament
WACO, Texas (March 11, 2026) – The RRAC extends its congratulations to LSU Shreveport and Texas A&M-San Antonio, who have earned their spot in the opening rounds of the 2026 NAIA 2026 Women's Basketball National Tournament.
The first and second rounds will take place at various campus sites from March 13-14. Winners will advance to the 45th Annual Women's Basketball Championship from March 19-24 at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa.
Texas A&M - San Antonio - RRAC Regular-Season and Tournament Runners-Up
Texas A&M-San Antonio received an automatic bid to nationals after finishing as runners-up in the regular season. The No. 14 Jaguars are slated to face No. 3 Corban (Ore.) (26-5) on March 13 at 12 p.m. in the Cramer Quadrant of the Wichita Bracket in Wichita, Kan. The second game of the bracket is between No. 6 Friends (Kan.) (24-6), the tournament host, and No. 11 Hastings (Neb.) (22-8) at 2 p.m. The two winners will advance to the Wichita Bracket Championship game on March 14 at 2 p.m.
The Jaguars will draw on the expertise and leadership of senior guard Evelyn Lorenzo, junior forward Aniya Lewis, and junior forward Kierra Sanderlin. Multi-All-Conference First Team Lorenzo has accumulated 108-of-305 field goals, 175-of-212 free throws, 100 rebounds, 118 assists, 65 steals, and 404 points. Lewis, an All-Conference Second-Team winner, has collected 100-of-253 from the field, 30-of-97 from three-point range, 59-of-79 from the charity stripe, 158 rebounds, 29 assists, 56 steals, and 289 points. Sanderlin, also an All-Conference Second-Team recipient, has posted 111-of-268 field goals, 75-of-102 free throws, 123 rebounds, 42 assists, 58 steals, 11 blocks, and 309 points.
TAMUSA is first in the RRAC with 556-of-748 free throws, 2,285 points, and 139 blocks, second with 770-of-2000 field goals, and third with 215-716 three pointers.
Head Coach Chris Minner started the women's program in 2024-25, posting an 18-12/14-10 record. In his second season, he guided the Jaguars to a 23-8 overall record and a final 18-4 RRAC record. This season, Minner celebrated his 500th career win.
LSU Shreveport - RRAC Regular-Season and Tournament Champions
LSUS, led by RRAC Coach of the Year Tim Hays, will be part of the Campbellsville, Ky., Bracket of the Liston Quadrant. The Pilots received an automatic bid to nationals after capturing both the RRAC Regular-Season and Post Season Tournament.

LSUS has put together a dominant stat line, including 840-of-1942 field goals, 215-of-716 three pointers, 345-of-541 free throws, 1218 rebounds, 492 assists, 126 blocks, 475 steals, and 2242 points. The Pilots lead the RRAC in field goals and are second in points, three-pointers, assists, and steals.
Anchoring the team on the national stage are RRAC Player of the Year Selma Markisic and Defensive Player and Newcomer of the Year Toni Coleman. Markisic is a graduate student and guard with the following stats: 42.4 field-goal percentage, 33.6 three-point percentage, 59.9 free-throw percentage, 97 rebounds, 81 assists, 97 steals, and 553 points. Coleman, a junior point guard, has recorded the following totals: 138-of-261 field goals, 102-of-155 free throws, 174 rebounds, 119 assists, 139 steals, and 389 points.
The Pilots are the No. 7 seed in the Campbellsville, Ky., Bracket of the Liston Quadrant. The women will face No. 10 Benedictine (Kan.) (17-9) on March 13 at 6 p.m. The first game of the bracket is between No. 2 Campbellsville (Ky.) (22-7) and No. 12 Bryan (Tenn.) (21-6) at 4 p.m. The winners will advance to the championship game on March 14 at 2 p.m.
