LSUA, Xavier advance to RRAC women's tennis champioinship
WACO, Texas (April 17, 2026) –Top-seed LSU Alexandria will face Xavier University of Louisiana in the 2026 RRAC Women's Tennis Championship game. The finals will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday. XULA is hosting the tournament, which began on April 16, at the XULA Tennis Center in New Orleans.

Participating in the tournament this year are six RRAC teams and one associate member. The seven-team, single-elimination tournament features Louisiana Christian, LSU Alexandria, LSU Shreveport, Our Lady of the Lake (Texas), Texas A&M-Texarkana, and XULA from the RRAC, and associate member Dillard (La.).
Fourth-seed OLLU and fifth-seed Dillard opened the tournament yesterday, and the Saints won 4-2. The Saints, who are No. 15 in the NAIA and No. 17 in the ITA, are led by first-year Head Coach Ross Marzetti. Dillard is ranked No. 18 in the NAIA and No. 30 in the ITA. The Bleu Devils end their season with an 8-13 record.
Third-seed LCU defeated sixth-seed LSUS 4-0. The Wildcats are No. 14 in the NAIA and No. 8 in the ITA, and they are led by Head Coach Alexandra Starkova. The Pilots, who are led by Head Coach Akeem Williams, received four votes in the April 8 poll. They end their season with a 1-9 record.
Second-seed XULA and seventh-seed TAMUT concluded the first day of the tournament, and the Gold Nuggets won 4-0. XULA earned the conference's highest national ranking - No. 6 in the NAIA and No. 2 in the ITA. The team is coached by Alan Green. TAMUT is No. 23 in the NAIA and No. 22 in the ITA, and the Eagles are led by first-year Head Coach Brian Nelson. They end their season with a 22-7 record.
In the semifinals on Friday, top-seed LSUA defeated OLLU 4-0. LSUA is No. 8 in the NAIA and No. 14 in the ITA, and the Generals are led by Head Coach Melinda Descant. The Saints end their season with an 11-5 record.
In the fifth match, XULA defeated LCU 4-0. The Wildcats end their season with a 12-6 record.
LSUA will compete against XULA in the championship match on Saturday at 11 a.m.
The winner of the match will compete in the 45th Annual NAIA Women's National Championships that will take place May 12-15 at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala. Other qualifiers will be announced soon.
