RRAC Softball weekly honors go to TAMUSA's Barlow (Player) and LCU's Falcon (Pitcher)

WACO, Texas (April 20, 2026) – Stellar outings from Texas A&M-San Antonio's Kaylee Barlow earned her RRAC Softball Player of the Week, and Louisiana Christian's Olivia Falcon garnered the RRAC Pitcher of the Week honor for the period April 13-19. This is the 12th set of weekly awards. 

RRAC Softball Player of the Week – Kaylee Barlow – Texas A&M-San Antonio

Junior Kaylee Barlow helped the Jaguars sweep Southwest (N.M.), doing quite well at the plate and holding down her defensive position, too. In the team's 4-0, 8-0, and 15-2 victories over the Mustangs, Barlow went 10-for-13 and added six runs, a double, two RBIs, and five stolen bases.

Barlow leads her team with 119 at-bats, 26 runs, 56 hits, 30 stolen bases, .471 batting average, .523 on-base percentage, and 23-of-26 putouts.

The Jaguars are 14-9 in conference and 21-15 overall for fifth place in the RRAC. TAMUSA's stat line is 957 at-bats, 222 runs, 322 hits, 51 doubles, 13 triples, five home runs, 179 RBIs, 414 total bases, 120 walks, 61 stolen bases, .336 batting average, .412 on-base percentage, and .433 slugging percentage.

RRAC Softball Pitcher of the Week – Olivia Falcon – Louisiana Christian

Junior right-handed pitcher Olivia Falcon shut down the TAMUV bats, allowing eight hits and just one run, which was unearned, over 11.2 innings in two appearances against the Jaguars. She threw all seven innings to get the 6-1 win in game one Friday, as she allowed four hits and one unearned run to pick up the victory. She came on in relief in Saturday's rubber game and allowed four hits and no runs to keep LCU in the contest, though she would not get a decision in the 3-2 loss.

Falcon is 10-6 this season and has one save. Her stat line is 1.99 ERA, 102.0 innings pitched, 87 hits, 42 runs, 29 unearned hits, 36 walks, 73 strikeouts, and 1.21 WHIP.

LCU has tallied 266.2 innings pitched and 159 strikeouts with an ERA of 3.70. The Wildcats are 22-20 overall and 12-12 in the RRAC for sixth place.

• LCU senior infielder Madelyn Bourgoyne had at least one hit and one RBI in all three games of the series against TAMUV. She scored a run in LCU's game one win, and she had a double in Friday night's game.
• TAMUT junior utility Kylie Malone went 6-for-8 in her team's 11-3 and 14-4 victories over Xavier (La.). She added two runs, one double, and three RBIs.
• TAMUV sophomore outfielder Deeandra Maldonado guided her team to a 5-1 and 3-2 win over LCU. She went 4-for-8, adding a run and two RBIs.
• TAMUT senior Rylee Glenn guided her team to 7-0 and 14-4 wins against Xavier (La.). She pitched 8.0 innings and struck out nine.
• TAMUSA sophomore Krisilyn Corral logged two wins over USW, 4-0 and 15-2. She pitched 11 innings and struck out 13.
• TAMUV freshman right-handed pitcher Madelyn Butler led her team to a 5-1 win over LCU. She pitched a complete game and allowed just five hits.
