Xavier's Johnson, Harris, Ali, and Texarkana's Jordan claim RRAC Track and Field Athlete of the Week awards
WACO, Texas (April 20, 2026) – The four RRAC Track and Field Athletes of the Week for the April 13-19 period are as follows:
Field (Women): Charity Johnson from Xavier (La.)
Track (Women): Jade Harris from Xavier (La.)
Field (Men): Mansur Ali from Xavier (La.)
Track (Men): Desroy Jordan from Texas A&M-Texarkana
This is the sixth set of Men's and Women's Track and Field Athletes of the Week.
RRAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week – Charity Johnson – Xavier (La.)
XULA sophomore Charity Johnson placed third in the discus throw at the Strawberry Relays sponsored by Southeastern Louisiana. Her 41.78m mark was among 11 participants.
Johnson is a native of Framingham, Mass.

RRAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week – Jade Harris – Xavier (La.)
At the Strawberry Relays sponsored by Southeastern Louisiana, senior Jade Harris took first place in the 100m hurdles with a mark of 14.76. She competed against six other athletes.
Harris is a native of Sugar Land, Texas. This is her third track athlete of the week honors.

RRAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week – Mansur Ali – Xavier (La.)
XULA sophomore Mansur Ali came in second out of 13 athletes in the hammer throw. His mark was 54.16. Southeastern Louisiana hosted the Strawberry Relays.
Ali is a native of Pike Road, Ala. This is his second field athlete of the week honors.

RRAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week – Desroy Jordan – Texas A&M-Texarkana
TAMUT freshman Desroy Johnson took first place in the 400m at the Jim Mize Invitational. He competed against 25 athletes and marked a time of 46.50.
Johnson is a native of Saint Vincent in the Caribbean.

RRAC Notebook
- UNTD sophomore Ashli Barron led UNTD with a pair of nationally ranked times in short-distance events. She qualified for the finals in the 100m and ran a PR in the 200m. She ranked No. 40 in the NAIA for the 200m and No. 61 for the 100m. She and her teammates placed fourth in the 4x100m relay.
- UNTD senior Madison Blanch made history by becoming the first women's field athlete to compete in the javelin throw and high jump, while also cracking the top 10 in her prolific mid-distance event. Her javelin throw mark was 19.88m, and her high jump mark was 1.29m. She also ran the 800m in 2:36.30.
- UNTD Ben Perin highlighted the Trailblazers men's track and field results with a record-setting time of 21.46 in the 200m, which placed him 7th and No.33 nationally. Perin also had a top 10 finish in the 100m and missed qualifying for the finals on a tiebreaker. He anchored a strong 4x100m relay group that qualified for nationals and was 0.03 seconds from winning over host North Texas.
- XULA's Karri Noel finished second among 16 athletes in the 400m at the Strawberry Relays. His time was 48.46.
- UNTD sophomore Bryson Mcrae posted a season-best mark on the long jump and ranks No. 28 in the NAIA for the score. Mcrae finished third with just two members from host NCAA DI North Texas in the Bill Schmidt Invite, jumping farther. McRae also ran two short-distance events and was near the top half in deep competitive fields.
- TAMUT sophomore Glenn Parker took first among four participants in the high jump at the Jim Mize Invitational. His mark was 1.85.
