Several RRAC athletes received NAIA All-American honors at the NAIA Men's Outdoor Track and Field National Championships
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (May 24, 2026) – The 74th Annual Men's Outdoor Track and Field National Championships concluded after a week of weather delays. The Red River Athletic Conference was represented by Xavier University of Louisiana, Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas), Texas A&M University – Texarkana, and the University of North Texas-Dallas.
Jaheene Bell, Tremanie Hamilton, D'Kirian Allen, and Karri Noel made up Xavier's 4x400m relay team. Together, they won the prelims in 3:09.42, earning a spot in the finals. Their performance in the final, a time of 3:19.96, resulted in NAIA All-American honors.
Bell finished second in the 400m hurdles prelims, posting a time of 50.66 to secure a spot in the finals. There, he improved his time to 50.46 and maintained his second-place position, taking home the Silver Medal in his signature race. All season, only one NAIA athlete ran faster. Bell's efforts earned him NAIA All-American honors.
In the 400m prelims, Noel placed sixth with a time of 46.84. In the finals, he finished seventh with a time of 49.62. While already an NAIA All-American in the Indoor 400m, he now adds Outdoor honors to his record.
Mansur Ali participated in the discus throw in the prelims and finished with a mark of 35.85m.
Shifting focus to Our Lady of the Lake University, Isai Moran, Joseph Gonzalez, Joshua Veliz, and Jose Perez made up the 4x800m relay team and finished with a time of 7:45.57.
Damien DeLeon ran the 110m hurdles and finished with a time of 14.41.
Although Willis Thibeaux qualified for nationals, he was unable to participate in the long jump.
UNT-Dallas made its first-ever trip to nationals and fielded two relay teams at the NAIA meet. In the 4x100m relay, Jackson Dannier, Ernest Ayanugo, Markevian White, and Ben Perrin clocked a time of 40.96.
The team of Jahaden Jackson, Ayanugo, Perin, and Devin Page competed in the 4x400m relay, finishing in 3:15.24.
Finally, representing Texas A&M University–Texarkana, Desroy Jordan competed in the 400m and ran 49.24.
Jayden Erickewe's 51.35 in the 400m hurdles prelims brought him a fourth-place spot. In the finals, he finished sixth, running 51.95 and earning NAIA All-American honors.
